Negative Standards is crusty punk with members of Acts of Sedition. They have a big dense sound and TV’S BUILT INTO THERE AMPS; they absolutely crush! Criminal Code is a mix of 80′s post punk and rock and roll. It also rules and features Jawsh of Thee Indoors, Young Lions, and This Computer Kills. May 10th is going to be real nice….we have a real nice folk show with some real nice guys. John White and Parker are playing with out-of-towners Whitman and Ezra! Whitman plays acoustic folk, Ezra is in the realm of the experimental, John White is that nice blond guy you see everywhere that makes good music, and Parker is formerly of Crush and has a nice Cobain croan (it’s also his first show at Holland!). Pierced Arrows (first touring band to ever play the new space!) is coming again on April 19th. Pierced Arrows features Fred and Toody Cole of DEAD MOON! Fred Cole is pretty much rock royalty being in countless bands since the 60′s, even being featured on the now legendary Nuggets comps. And what’s really awesome is Reno is Pierced Arrows favorite place to vacations, so lets not let them down. Adding locally for the night we have smorgasbord of first shows! First of is Surf Curse making the best reverbed out pop! Then very specially is Prescription, feat. members of The Z-28′s, Penetrations Panthers, Tonight We Ride, Discreet Doll Band, Black Tabernacle, and more! Trial, All Teeth, Run with the Hunted, Powerwolves, CodexRed

YES! YES! YES!!!!! Trial is playing their first tour in like forever and Holland is on the itinerary!! For those who don’t know Trial; in all their stage diving, singing alonging glory; are hardcore legends of the 90′s! This will be Trial’s first Reno date ever, so don’t miss it. Other then being just awesome that Trial is playing, it’s also kinda a showcase for Panic records (one of the finest labels around). This means All Teeth, Run with the Hunted, and Powerwolves will be playing too! All Teeth is one of the few bands around doing something new while still being firmly based in Hardcore, pushing the genre forward. Run with the Hunted plays some awesome hardcore with some serious riffs. Powerwolves plays some good ole hardcore, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Real Estate, on their way back from Coachella, play some of the finest indie rock to date. With an extremely pretty guitar tone and the chops to back it Real Estate will rule with a very beatiful yet soft IRON FIST! The Twerps have an interested blend of Twee pop and midwestern twang that make you swoon. And to locally kill it, Blunderbusst will deliver up some shoegazy sweet rock noise. ALRIGHT EVERYONE!!!!!!! Cathedral Ghost, City Mouse, Plurals, We are the Real Monsters

Pop is the word of the night on Thursday, April 5th, whether it be poppy rock & roll or that good ole pop punk Holland will be housing it. Delivering on the promised rock & roll is Reno’s own Cathedral Ghost, hot off recording their upcoming piece of released music in some dead format (I HOPE 8-TRACK). To give you a good punch of Pop punk is City Mouse and Plurals. City Mouse plays it the way it ought to be, good. Plurals takes a solid ninties sound, very Dinosaur Jr., and adds that pop punk twist. We are the Real Monsters from Arizona will be playing too, their sound is a bit of a mystery to describe so check it out in person.
