Dry Heat DVD
Dry Heat is a collection of short films from Reno, NV curated by the Holland Project Gallery Committee.
The DVD features nine films by local filmmakers and gives a real solid feel for what’s being cooked up in the underbelly of the biggest little city. The filmmakers include Ben Poynter, Kaleb Temple, Peter Whittenberger, Cassady O’Neal, Tosha Palani, Valerie Bischoff, Kyle Akins, Omar Pierce and Megan Berner. The 125 limited release DVDs are currently on sale for $12 with all proceeds going to fund future exhibitions.
For the Fall/Winter 2012, Reno’s only independent movie house Artemisia will be screening films from Dry Heat prior to their main features. Their screenings are every Tues. night beginning at 7PM and it’s $7 or $5 if you ride your bike. They are located at the Goodluck Macbeth Theater at 713 S. Virginia St in Midtown.
