Join us on April 14th for our opening event of the Boogie Down Book Club! We will be kicking off the day with an hour & a half masterclass workshop featuring Elzo & Ecto One of the Thermites Soundsystem Dj Crew. They will be teaching about the roots and evolution of Djing/Turntablism. This will be hands on and you will be able to try out some turntable techniques.
We will follow the masterclass with some live Djing and then we will be opening up the mic for any emcees that want to get up and freestyle.
The music continues with some live performances from some local special guests. We will end the night with an open forum discussion about hip hop culture.
