Bystander Intervention Training

Join us for a free community training based on culture and social justice that will position individuals to be more likely to intervene in incidents of racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, etc. in efforts to reduce violence, oppression and harm. We will discuss ways to de-escalate violence and talk about privilege in a safe and comfortable way that will allow us to help level the playing field for marginalized communities and check in with ourselves in times of uncertainty.
This workshop will be led by Maria Edwards, Immigration Victims Specialist at Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada & The St. Vincent’s Programs.
