Code Orange
Nothing lasts forever. All things decay, all things change. The mightiest empires crumble to dust as their kings bleed. Forever, it would seem, is unobtainable. Code Orange seek to obtain the unobtainable; pushing against every boundary, shedding every label. The band has grown immensely, and yet still retains the distinct edge and harshness that has become their caustic calling card. Ever defiant, Code Orange breaks any mold and refuses to be easily defined. Nothing lasts forever, so Code Orange is content to live in the moment. All they want is to challenge themselves and those around them. To push every button they can.
Joining them for one night, The Body. A band that can emote pain like no other band, and their ability to move between the often strict confines of the metal world and the electronic music sphere is on full display throughout No One Deserves Happiness, an album that eludes categorization. More than any of their genre-defying peers, The Body does it without softening their disparate influences towards a middle ground, but instead through a beautiful combining of extremes.
To top it off, local Sludge/Doom quartet Black Zin take a wall of amps, and push them as hard as they can to create the loudest and heaviest riffs they can. Somewhere between Melvins and Sumac, Black Zin make tunes that’ll shake your whole body.
