Current Joys is the heartbreaking minimalist bedroom-pop endeavor of Surf Curse’s Nick Rattigan. His music spans the 80’s cult imagery Nick is famous for, pairing with lofi self-recorded sounds and a style of unmistakable hyper personal songwriting that no one does the same. Starting by playing experimental solo shows at Holland and Java Jungle open mics, Nick holds a close place in our heart. It’s safe to say we’re excited. Joining em on tour is LA’s Boyo! Boyo is the fuzzy psychedelic bedroom-pop project of Robert Tilden (ya might have met him when he came through playing guitar with Surf Curse). His music rules! To top it off, locals Stirr Lightly are bringing their killer take on surf-punk tinged reverby pop tunes, and we can’t wait.
