Gardening 101 Workshop

Spring is in the air, finally! The weather is ready for planting, but what about you? Starting a garden can be tricky so we’ve teamed up with local experienced farmers to show us how to lay the groundwork.
If you’d like to get growing but aren’t sure where to start, join us on Sunday, May 20th at Flint Street Farm and learn the basics of gardening.
This beginner-level workshop will consist of four stations: how to germinate seeds, what to grow in a small space, how to care for your plants and soil, and how to make a compost pile. This workshop is free and will begin at 10:30 am.
Flint Street Farm is located in the heart of downtown Reno at the corner of Flint and Ridge (That’s a block south of the Great Basin Food Co-Op). Come prepared to get a little dirty!
