The Art of the .GIF
May 27, 2021 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM • $10.00
POSTPONED TO MAY 27TH!
In this workshop, we will explore multiple techniques for creating 2D and 3D digital art. UNR Professor in Digital Art, Tyler Calkin, will lead the group in mobile and laptop-friendly methods to produce animated GIFs and 3D scans using a variety of free and low-cost software applications. After making our content, we will consider the meaning behind the media, and learn the ins-and-outs of sharing it online, including in live virtual environments.
This is an in-person workshop opportunity, but the option to Zoom in is available (just let us know!). Participants may bring their personal smartphones, tablets, or laptops to work with, some equipment will also be available. This workshop is designed for all skill levels, from the tech-phobic to the tech-savvy.
For the safety of instructors and participants, there are limited tickets available. Masks required for all Holland Project events.
This workshop is supported in part by the City of Reno Arts & Culture Commission.
