Have you always wanted to play the drums? Are you eager for some time to get creative and nurture yourself in a supportive, fun, inclusive environment? Do you want to support GRR’s mission to bring music instruction and self-confidence to young people who are often excluded from the musical mainstream? GRRown Up Camp is a one-day retreat on February 18th from 10am to 4:30pm at The Holland Project open to self-identified women, trans, non-binary, and/or gender expansive folks, 18 years & up.
Your day will include:
– two one-hour small group drum lessons in a fun, low-pressure setting with acclaimed local drummer Bijou Bell (please note: lessons are for for first-time / beginner level)
– a workshop on self-love and creativity with psychology researcher-practitioner Ali Szarko
– a meditation and psychic art session with psychic medium Andria Greger
– tasty treats from local community businesses including Magpie coffee, Cafe Capello pastries, Sizzle Pie pizza and hand-crafted mocktails by Michael Moberly
Only six spaces are available, and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. All proceeds go directly to GRR youth scholarships.
GRR is an intersectional summer music camp that provides instrument instruction, band coaching, and workshops on self-love, creativity and social justice to self-identified girls and trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive kids ages 9-17. Your support helps us to serve campers regardless of their ability to pay full tuition. Reserve your spot now!
