Henry MacDiarmid Closing Reception

Local artist and recent UNR Bachelor of Fine Arts grad, Henry MacDiarmid, is taking over the Holland Project Gallery with his installation EvEry MoVement A Pendulum FOrms, RivErs Are Taking TIme QuestiOning MovemeNt. 

Henry is interested in the experiences of images. An image manifested and then perceived creates an experience of language through visual, written, and spoken forms. MacDiarmid presents the experiences as art to create a stage for objects and subjects to confront each other. This confrontation aims to create a bodily understanding of how a viewer perceives themselves and their surroundings. 

The exhibition will be on view in the Holland Project Gallery from Sept. 4 – 21, 2018. Come chat with Henry and check out his exhibition during the closing reception on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 6-8pm.
