Kevin Morby, Tele/visions, The Encounters

August 7th we’re gonna have one of our favorite performers at Holland! Kevin Morby of the Babies and Woods is going to grace us with some of his solo jams! And to make it very special Tele/visions and The Encounters will be performing too! We’re all familiar with The Babies, but this time Kevin’s coming with 100% his own songs. His new songs find him in a more relaxed folkier place. Pitchfork says “And, given the proper room to breathe, Morby’s voice reveals its lazy-day Kansan cadence, sounding not unlike Cass McCombs, Kurt Vile“. We’re equally excited to have Tele/visions back from his USA adventure. Tele/visions sits in the realm of the lo-fi, mixing The Cure, New Order, and something a little more modern we can’t quite put our finger on. Tele/visions is easily one of the best songwriting efforts in town. Finally we’ll have The Encounters, the rock and roll vehicle for Mark Norris and company! Thursday, August 7th at 8PM $5 adv. $7 door!
