Live Sound Workshop
February 9, 2020 @ 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM • $5
Get behind the board with our lead sound engineer Ilya Artbatman! All levels from total newbie to weathered veteran are invited to attend this comprehensive introduction to doing live sound at The Holland Project.
Learn basic concepts of amplification and what goes into ‘doing sound’ for various styles and set-ups of bands. By the end of the day, you will feel confident in a range of topics from how to mic up a guitar amp to how to kill annoying vocal feedback. Everyone attending will have an opportunity to get some real hands-on practice mixing live musicians.
Holland currently uses a Behringer X32 mixing desk, which has become a standard at many venues and even studios across the country – although our primary focus will be training you to help out with sound at Holland, the skills you learn at this workshop will be useful in many other sound engineering applications.
