If ya didn’t know, Miserable is the ethereal solo endeavor of Brooklyn based singer/songwriter Kristina Esfandiari. Her work with Miserable dives into a shoegazier vein, touching on the atmospheric and unnerving influence of artists like Grouper, but with all the ferocity and heartbreak you would expect from the singer/songwriter of King Woman. We’ve had her album Uncontrollable on constant rotation since it dropped, and her previous EP Halloween Dream is also excellent. Listen to them both. Joining for this tour is Justus Proffit, making dreamy lo-fi emo influenced tunes, mixing in aspects from acoustic pop and singer songwriter tunes. His latest EP Ups/Downs rules. To top it off, Reno’s most elusive band, SKIN., are joining to make this a real special night. Nate’s songwriting is intense, heartbreaking, and always melancholy.
