Monotype Workshop + Leftovers Exhibit
September 24, 2016 @ 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Revive the art of sending letters and postcards by creating something to hold, fold and hang on to! Using a simple and awesome printmaking technique you’ll create a handful of freeform monotype prints using your favorite colors, easy hand made stencils and a small etching press. Frame the prints or use as your own personal stationery and note cards. Amy Nack from Wingtip Press in Idaho is dropping in to lead this workshop and she’s bringing prints from all around the world to be showcased in a quick pop-up exhibit.

The History of Leftovers
After cleaning out the flat files and finding dozens of little scraps of printmaking papers jamming up the file drawers, the folks at Wingtip Press realized they probably weren’t alone with the dilemma of what to do with all those too-precious-to-toss leftover scraps. An invitation went out to fellow printmakers to participate in a print exchange and to use all those lovely little leftover scraps to create a small edition of prints.

Now in it’s 6th year, this delicious assortment of Leftovers is composed of prints made by artists from around the world. Enjoy this smorgasbord of prints created by over 100 artists from Arizona to Australia, Nevada to Norway, Wyoming to Wales and places in-between!
