Wealth: An Opening Reception

The Holland Micro Gallery, inside Bibo Coffee Co., is exhibiting a group show focused on the concept of “wealth.”
The American Dream, with its promises of monetary wealth through hard work and dedication, is a prominent foundation for the meaning of wealth; to contrast this view, Henry Thoreau once wrote, “wealth is the ability to fully experience life.” What is wealth? What makes it so tantalizing? How can a person become wealthy?
This show is an embodiment and exploration of the many different answers to these questions, sourced from a wide variety of artists, artistic mediums, and visual interpretations.
The exhibition will run March 30–April 24, 2015, with an opening reception on Friday, April 3 from 6-8PM.
