San Francisco’s Pardoner have been one of our favorite new punk bands of the last year. Mixing the fuzzy slacker shredding with tongue in cheek alt-rock tendencies and jolty off kilter Polvo-esc mathy sounds to make a sound that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Their new album Uncontrollable Salvation is filled with all the wonky hooks and uneasy lyricism your heart could desire. Joining em on tour are Canada’s Dumb, making garage-rock and surf tinged paranoia-punk ~ They rule! On the local front, 42 are young rock n rollers in the classical sense, mixing in velvet-underground era proto-punk and new-wave themes. To top it off, Mutual (members of Stirr Lightly, Characters) make soft Duster / Bedhead esc 90’s rock. They just dropped their debut EP and we’re stoked.
