It’s been a long time coming, and it’s finally happening. Protomartyr is coming to Holland Project. These Detroit post-punks create driving and rhythm heavy tunes, mixing in dismal up front lyricism and the unenthralled musing of frontman Joe Casey. Each of their three albums tackles emotionally brutal concepts, which reached their peak in their most recent album The Agent Intellect. Influenced by the decay of their home city Detroit, the passing of Casey’s Parents, and mortality as a whole. Joining them on tour are The Gotobeds, a manic and upbeat entry into the world of self-aware post-punk with a heavier leaning towards garage-punk. On the local front, City Wolves will be opening up the night with their own take on indie driven Post-Punk mixed with 90’s Emo.
