Similar Feeling Opening Reception

Similar Feeling is an exhibition by Marisa Malone which considers aloneness, social connection and vulnerability. The mediums used are reflective of the tensions within these emotional states—string and handmade paper being simultaneously strong and delicate—and looks at how lines and shape create connection while also defining space and boundaries.
Marisa Malone is an artist and writer born in Reno, NV and has made many homes in Washington, Oakland, and New York. She is interested in cultural constructs of femininity, the female figure, who we are and what we do when we are alone, embodiment, and process based work. Marisa recently moved to New York and we are so excited to have her back for this exhibition!
