Sacramento’s So Stressed are a special one. Not exactly Post-Hardcore, not exactly Noise-Punk. A violent fit of loud, abrasive, and unpredictable Guitar, synth and drum sounds squeezed into some mutilated version of pop song structure. Each song listens like an adrenaline fueled anxiety attack, like riding a bike headfirst towards a car convinced you’ll be the victor. They just dropped their latest album Please Let Me Know on Ghost Ramp, fresh off a tour with Wavves. Joining em for the night are local post-punks, Pry. Using repetition as a tool, lulling you into comfort and tearing you back out with an attack of guitars and lyrics that read like the journal entries of a man trapped alone on an island, shouting at the sky. Reno’s finest skramzy post-hardcore outfit Empty Beds are joining in to make this show something crazy, and a bill completely made of bands that are hard to bob your head to. We can’t wait.
