Total Slacker, Snowshoe Thompson, Flashlights

Go to your calendar and mark Saturday September 27th as “Really awesome cool show” cause Total Slacker, Snowshoe Thompson, and Flashlights are playing at Holland! Brooklyn’s Total Slacker  play dirgey 90’s indebted indie punk. Pitchfork says “Their narratives– sharing pizza bagels in a bunk bed, going back in time to meet Miles Davis– are weird and silly enough to warrant some kudos to Rountree as a weirdo and songwriter.” Snowshoe Thompson are locals playing a mix of Belle and Sebastian, The Velvet Underground, and just a smidge of Deer Hunter. They’re rad and a breath of fresh air for Reno! Flashlights, from Orlando, combines the instrumentation of 90’s indie/emo with the earnestness and drive of pop punk. It’s an interesting combo, that they’ve mostly figured out. All these bands rule! Saturday September, 27th at 8PM $5.
