Girls Rock Reno

November 16 • 1-5PM • $5 • Ages 10-17

The Holland Project and Girls Rock Reno invite you to join us for a rock n’ roll Open House! Come meet other musicians and new friends looking to start bands or play music. We’ll have hands-on stations as well as instruction and workshop opportunities, including: drums, bass and guitar clinics; beatmaking and experimenting with electronic music; song and lyric writing; a jingle writing workshop; make your own picks and buttons; zines and other crafts; women in music listening station; and more! PLUS! live performances and karaoke to wrap it all up!

Teachers and guests include: Jamie Hemingway (Solterona), Casey Bell (Fine Motor), Rosie Zuckerman (Okay Urge), Antonia Del Campo (Fempire Records), Gina Rose, Bijou Bell (Stirr Lightly), Sunday Pickard (Matching Jackets), Lizzie Ramos (Boys), Jenn Archerd (Slow Wow), and others!

We prioritize self-confidence, creativity, and community — encouraging participants to acquire skills to help guide them throughout their lives. Girls Rock Reno hopes to counter the underrepresentation of women and people of marginalized gender identities in music, and we are committed to creating a positive, inclusive environment. We welcome all self-identified girls, trans and non-binary youth ages 10-17 to participate. No music experience required.

Sign-up online to reserve a spot, as space is limited to 30 kids. E-mail with any questions.
